Detailed Travel Itinerary

Welcome to rowing at McGill. The rowing season sees the eighty athletes of McGill Crew give the best of themselves, and in so doing, discover the best in themselves. The lessons in discipline and teamwork will remain for a lifetime, as will the close friendships. Without a doubt, McGill Crew is a very unique and special experience.

Fall is the main rowing season for most eastern Canadian universities, and so it is with McGill Crew. The team partakes in a host of regattas in eastern Canada and the United States. During that time, the primary focus remains on the OUA Rowing Championships and the Canadian University Rowing Championships.

Though the spring season is brief, it is not without its opportunities to row. The Club has recently competed in the Tulane University Invitational Regatta in New Orleans, as well as in the Heineken Roeivierkamp Regatta, held in Amsterdam. Furthermore, the annual McGill-Queen's Challenge Boatrace allows each university to test the strength of the other, making for an entertaining exhibition.

The purpose of the McGill University Rowing Club is twofold. First, we provide student-athletes with a unique opportunity to challenge themselves, their teammates and their opponents. Second, and equally important, we are an environment in which rowers have an enjoyable and irreplaceable experience, and form lasting friendships and memories.
